I’m unfriending you, get over it


There is a considerable stigma with the act of ‘unfriending.’ This new modern day craze and term which describes the process of deleting a ‘friend’ from a social networking site, namely Facebook. For those who are unaware, the act of unfriending can be described as awkward, the general census being that it is an insult to discover that such a heinous judgement has been passed on you. A result of the reticence to unfriend is an ever-growing friends list, which becomes less and less filled with friends.

I read a very interesting article about ArLynn Presser [read article here] who decided to visit all 325 of her Facebook friends.She found discovered some totally ignored her request and outright refused to meet her, whilst others would meet her but only under absurd circumstances.
