The Only Thing That Really Matters On Your Facebook Profile Is…

Researchers at the University of Missouri found there’s one thing on our Facebook profile that has more of an effect on how people perceive us than anything else on our page:

Your profile picture.

Your photo, and the comments that people leave on that photo, make the biggest impact on how other people perceive your social status.

So when new friends, potential dates, and potential employers look at your Facebook page, their strongest opinions are subconsciously formed based on that one picture and what your friends had to say about it.

The researchers say your best bet is to pick a photo that shows off who you are and what you are . . . or at least who and what you want people to think you are.
